A Comedian, an Artist & and an Author Walk into Lyric Hyperion

2106 Hyperion Ave., Los Angeles, CA

In what's being called the most anticipated night of edu-tainment in Los Angeles metro area history, a trio of bright minds (Sara Benincasa, Morley and Adrian Todd Zuniga) are coming together to celebrate the launch of Zuniga's debut novel, Collision Theory. There will be stand-up, a three-minute reading, and a brief video presentation. THEN SHIT WILL GET REAL, as the three will engage in a fun-time, three-way interview on the topics of writing, creativity, artistic struggles, breaking through, and all things in between. Then the fun really begins: if you buy a book of one of the presenters, you'll be handed a $10 bill (hopefully crisp, but that's TBD). Come one, come all. This will honestly be refreshing, weird fun and you will fall in love with at least one of the authors present.

Sara Benincasa is a screenwriter, recovering stand-up comedian and the author of Real Artists Have Day Jobs (William Morrow 2016); DC Trip (Adaptive 2015); Great (HarperTeen 2014); and Agorafabulous!: Dispatches From My Bedroom (William Morrow 2012). She also wrote a very silly joke book called Tim Kaine Is Your Nice Dad. In 2017, she adapted "DC Trip" as a screenplay with Bona Fide, Gunpowder & Sky, and Adaptive Studios. She also adapted Agorafabulous as a pilot for TV with Academy Award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody. Recent roles include Corporate on Comedy Central (2018), The Jim Gaffigan Show on TVLand (2016) and the critically acclaimed short film The Focus Group (2016), which she also wrote. She lives in Los Angeles. sarabenincasa.com

Morley is a Los Angeles-based street artist whose work has been featured in The Los Angeles Times, The Huffington Post, LA Magazine and on television networks such as ABC, CBS, Comedy Central, The Discovery Channel, Ovation, Amazon and Showtime. He's toured the country with his book If You're Reading This, There's Still Time (published by Cameron + Company), exhibited in galleries around the world and lectured at numerous universities, LACMA and The Artisphere in Washington DC. He was the focus of a national commercial for Toyota as well as an original docu-series from Verizon. He has designed advertising campaigns for Smirnoff Vodka, Bud Light, The Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and the anti-smoking campaign Truth. iammorley.com

Adrian Todd Zuniga is the author of the debut novel, Collision Theory (Rare Bird Books, 2018). He’s the host/creator/CCO of Literary Death Match (now featured in over 60 cities worldwide) and host of LDM Book Report on YouTube. A WGA Award-nominated screenwriter, he co-wrote Madden NFL 18’s interactive movie Longshot (EA Sports). He made his bio shorter than the other two people participating to show off how humble he is, in the hopes that you’d buy his novel, since it would mean the world to him. He lives between London and Los Angeles. @atzuniga
