Join Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema for a night of stories that focus on social hardships and teenage struggles featuring two of the biggest touring champions in modern Nerd Culture – writer and comedienne Sara Benincasa and nerdcore hip-hop wizard Adam Warrock!

“Growing Up Geek” is an evening of entertainment that combines live storytelling and hip-hop, centered around the unifying theme of nerdy adolescence during the time before it was cool to enjoy comic books or video games. A celebration of geek culture’s ascension from its less than glamorous past to the present where it is a dominating force in global popular culture, this is an event that’s guaranteed make everyone want to laugh, cry, and sing.

The show will feature a headlining storytelling set by Benincasa with WarRock’s unique blend of autobiographical rapping fused with comic book references. The show will also feature opening storytelling sets by two local guest speakers TBA!
